Natural Remedies to Lighten Dark Lips

Like skin tone, lip color can vary from person to person. No skin tone on the lips is healthier than any other. In some cases, a change in the color or condition of the lips may indicate that the lips need more care. Tobacco smoking, tension, medication, and medical issues can all cause thickening of the lips. In the midst of cosmetic treatments to brighten the skin are creams, chemical peels, and laser therapy. These treatment options reduce melanin in the skin or roughen the skin’s production of melanin.
